It's been "real" tree.

I was sad to see her go but the Christmas tree is finally down and out. When you have to start febreezing it to keep the smell away, it's time to say goodbye. The first "real" tree of my very own. The bf and I had  fun trudging through the forest, picking out the perfect one for my living room and tying it to the top of his station wagon . . . jk . . until next year!

What a beaut she was!
 Sad to see her go.
Being a funny man.
He dressed up to say goodbye!

The lady at the store was probably slightly concerned.
Don't worry, just a dead tree!
 Wrapping her up.
What a keeper . . he vacummed while I cooked dinner.
We high-fived numerous times in the process :).

Sun and sandy beaches.

I know that few people are ready to think about swimsuit season but when I think about what sort of weather is waiting outside, I'll do anything to think warm thoughts! Target's new collection is out and super cute - "Sassy, Saucy and Shore Worthy" as they describe it. I posted some of my favorite's, including one that I may or may not have already purchased. It will be hanging on my door for inspiration.

Oh and I threw in an adorable cover up!

Breaking Records.

I'm not one to talk about the weather. I feel like those conversations should only be had in awkward elevator rides but it was seriously a gorgeous day today! A record high of 67 degrees in January . . in Nebraska! I'm sure snow will be in the forecast tomorrow but until then a bright orange dress and leopard print belt it is!

And while we are talking . . I am fully aware my roots match my bag. Getting them taken care of stat!

Natalie's 2012 Fitness Tips

My first week on the job and I already have an AHH-MAZING guest post! Woot Woot!

A NYC’er by way of Idaho & Nebraska , Natalie Uhling Pozatek has made a big huge name for herself in the fitness world. One of Barry’s Bootcamp’s sought after trainers, her passion and energy for her workouts is seriously unmatched! The obviously gorgeous Natalie has appeared in numerous Under Armor advertisements, has been featured in Fitness Magazine and most recently signed to Wilhelmina Models (girl can’t be stopped)! While I wish I could be front row at Barry’s daily, Natalie has so kindly agreed to give some tips on how to get a jump start on a sustainable workout in the New Year.

Thank you Natalie, you are fabulous!!!

B Blog lovers, now is the time to make 2012 your year of fitness. Here are some fitness tips to keep you healthy and motivated!

Natalie's 2012 Fitness Tips:

1. Get yourself a new pair of shoes! Ones that are functional and support your feet. There is nothing worse than old sneakers.

2. Find a fitness buddy!

3. Start attending group fitness classes! Try Zumba, Turbo Kick, Bootcamp, Pilates, etc. Just MOVE!

4. Make a go to playlist that gets you motivated and moving on those lazy days.

5. Spice up your water by putting a slice of lemon or lime in your water bottle. Lemon's also help fight hunger cravings.

6. Make your workouts count! INTENSITY is the key word. It you only can do 30 minutes that's great but you have to really push!

7. Cut your alcohol intake! I know Husker fans love to drink but if you are looking to get fit alcohol is the big kicker.

8. Eat or better yet drink your greens! I make a green drink every morning! YUMMY!

9. Be consistent! Fitness needs to fit into your daily life or else you will not stick to it.

10. HAVE FUN! Make realistic goals for yourself and push your personal boundaries!

xoxo
